Micro Build Report: QRPMe Tuna Helper

Sometime in 2023 I’ve purchased a couple of ham radio related building kits (Tuna Tunah, Two Tinned Tunas, Sudden Storm, Tuna Topper) from QRPme, a ham radio kit web shop run by OM Rex Harper, W1REX. One of those building kits is called Tuna Helper. The Tuna Helper kit is a RF sensing automatic transmit/receive switch. When you key your transmitter the RF signal is detected by the Tuna Helper and the antenna is automatically switched to the transmitter. When the key is released longer than a user configurable time, the Tuna Helper switches the antenna back to your receiver. To sum it up, this kit eliminates the need for a manual trasmit/receive switch. It’s a well made little kit that can be easily assembled, even if one would not have to consult the detailed assembly instruction manual.
